The U16 girls bounced back from their defeat to Tyrone Towers on Saturday to record a comprehensive victory over Queens at Lisburn Leisureplex on Sunday morning. A close first quarter was taken on a 8-6 score line with all our points coming from N Cooper.

This was evenly balanced game with Tyrone Towers winning the second and fourth quarters with the Lisburn girl’s taking the first and third. The quarters scores were 11-3, 10-23, 13-6 and 2-17. The higher scoring in the quarters won by the Dungannon girls was to prove to be decisive as they took the game 49-36. [...]

This was a  very hard match for the Lisburn side as the Tyrone Towers team were on fire with their outside shooting.  We perfomed well on the boards fighting back in the third quarter, our best quarter and with some fine shooting won the quarter 11-8.
