Lisburn City Basketball Club would like to welcome you to our new club website. We have revamped the site to enable us to promote the activities taking place within the club. A website can only be successful if the information is accurate and kept up-to-date. To this end I would request that coaches, team managers and players provide information about training, matches, results etc on a weekly basis ensuring that we have a site which we can all be proud of.

U18 Easter Invitational Tournament – Scotland

Over Easter our U18 boys travelled to Lagoon in Paisley, Scotland to participate in an U18 Invitational Tournament. The competition consisted of six teams. St Mirren, Barrow, Edinburgh Kings, Glasgow RENS and Scotland u16s. Over two days we played five highly competitive games, winning four games with our only lose to the eventual winners St Mirren on a score of 34-42. We finished second in the league standings and were the highest scoring team over the two days with 271 points. Also, during the weekend, Shirley Adamson (one of the St Mirren  parents) who has a keen hobby interest in photography took a number of photographs during the two days from all games which she has made available on Picassa. Fun Day and Presentation of Prizes – Note Change of time & venue

The club will be holding a fun  day with presentation of prizes in La Salle College, Belfast on 13th May 2012 from 12.00pm to 4.00pm. There will be many activities taking place on the day e.g. BBQ, Bouncy Castle, Phoenix Olympics, Matches, Hotshot, prizegiving for each team – MVP, MIP and Coaches Choice and much more.

Upcoming Table Official Course

An Introductory Table Official course will be held on Sunday 29th April, in Belvoir Activity Centre, from 10.00am to 1.00pm. The course is open to anyone above the age of 14 and costs £10.00. Click here for the application form and details on how to register. We would encourage all our players to get qualified and it is also good to have for inclusion on your sporting CV.
